Socio-economic Database
Our company’s socio-economic database comprises two types of data—demographics and household income and expenditure—and also offers supplementary map layers for sale.
Household Income and Expenditure
- County and City Boundaries: Features the latest county and city boundary data for Taiwan, incorporating information from the Survey of Family Income and Expenditure published by the Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS). Attributes include total income (employee compensation, entrepreneurial income, property income, etc.), non-consumption expenditure (interest payments, current transfer payments, etc.), consumption expenditure (food, housing services, furniture and equipment, healthcare, transportation, communication, recreation and culture, education, restaurants and hotels, etc.), disposable income, consumption expenditure, savings, and total income.
- Township/Township-level Boundaries: Represents the latest distribution of township-level boundaries across Taiwan. It includes attribute data—derived from the Executive Yuan’s Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS) household income and expenditure surveys and supplemented by fiscal and tax data—covering total income (employee compensation, entrepreneurial income, property income, etc.), non-consumption expenditure (interest payments, current transfer payments, etc.), consumption expenditure (food, housing services, furniture and equipment, healthcare, transportation, communication, recreation and culture, education, restaurants and hotels, etc.), disposable income, consumption expenditure, savings, and total income.
- Village/Neighborhood Boundaries: This dataset covers the latest village and neighborhood boundaries across Taiwan. It includes attribute data—such as total income (including employee compensation, entrepreneurial income, and property income), non-consumption expenditure (interest payments, current transfer payments, etc.), consumption expenditure (food, housing services, furnishings, healthcare, transport, communication, recreation and culture, education, restaurants and hotels, etc.), disposable income, savings, and gross income—derived from the “Report on the Survey of Family Income and Expenditure” (published by the Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics) and supplemented by fiscal and tax data estimates.
- 500-meter grid: Contains attribute data—such as total income (compensation of employees, income of proprietors, property income, etc.), non-consumption expenditure (interest payments, current transfer payments, etc.), consumption expenditure (food, housing services, furniture and equipment, healthcare, transportation, communication, recreation and culture, education, restaurants and hotels, etc.), disposable income, consumption expenditure, savings, and total income—derived by estimating data from the county-level Family Income and Expenditure Survey (published by the Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics) and supplementing it with information such as transportation nodes and fiscal/tax data.
